Chris Hendershot will speak about Clearpool’s Model Forest at FrOGS (Friends of the Great Swamp) Annual Meeting on Saturday, March 9 at 2PM at the Patterson Community Church Fellowship Hall, Rte 311 in Patterson. The Model Forest at Clearpool is an educational site where landowners can see best-management forestry projects in action as well as some agroforestry projects. Clearpool’s 264 site is privately-owned forest land that was established as the fourth Model Forest site in the New York City Watershed region to support best management forestry practice and environmental education for forest stewardship. Chris will present a great program on forest management that should be of interest to all Who own forest lands in Putnam or Dutchess Counties or who are just interest in learning more about the importance of forests.
