About Land Preservation

Thinking about placing your property into conservation?

The PCLT is dedicated to preserving and maintaining for the public open spaces and the natural resources within for the purposes of conservation, education and passive recreation.  There are several approaches one can take for land preservation.  If you are considering placing your property into conservation, please contact us so we can set up an appointment with you.  PCLT will work with you to determine the strategy that best fits your needs for preservation and conservation.  And, we will begin the process of determining if your property meets our land protection criteria.  This process is essential and necessary because once PCLT  takes either a conservation easement or accepts the land donation, it will be taking on the stewardship of this property and the responsibility of maintaining it as open space forever.

PCLT owns 3 conservation areas and 27 preserves totaling 1120 acres.
It has protected 138 acres in conservation easements.
