PCLT SEEKS BOARD MEMBER APPLICANTS

The Putnam County Land Trust is seeking individuals who support the concept of open space and the preservation of our natural resources to serve on its Board of Trustees. In addition to attending eight board meetings throughout the year, candidates need to be able to effectively serve on at least one board committee in order to carry out the day-to-day work of the organization.

The current Board membership consists of a variety of men and women from diverse backgrounds who share a commitment to preserving open space within Putnam County. The mission of the Land Trust is threefold: land protection, stewardship of protected properties and public education on natural and environmental issues.

While not expected to be experts in the field of environmental studies, Board members need to contribute their personal skills, abilities and talents as they work together to achieve the goals of the organization.

As a Board member, you will be making a major contribution toward improving the quality of life for all citizens of Putnam County. With over 1,000 acres currently under protection the trust continues to expand its responsibilities and its reach. Please consider becoming part of this dynamic organization. Interested persons should contact Bruce Bothwell at brucekb@gmail.com for questions and/or an application packet. Inquiries may also be mailed to Bruce Bothwell at 6 Deer Hill Court, Carmel, NY 10512.  You can also call 914-621-8466 or visit www.pclt.net.
